THE CHALLENGE

Ebony+Ivory has been the integrated agency in service of Brand South Africa since 2016. Our through the line (TTL) portfolio has included research, strategy, creative, media, digital, social and activations.

Our brief was to create a Reputation Management Strategy and Integrated Communications approach to create awareness and help the country through the COVID-19 pandemic towards safety, vaccination and economic recovery. Ebony+Ivory collaborated with The Presidency, The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, and South African Tourism. This required full- service delivery throughout lockdown and the team established a war room from which domestic and global messaging was rolled out. 60% of the work was delivered through online digital and social media campaigns with the balance flighted through television and radio.
