Launching a new Chinese car in SA

THE CHALLENGE

Ebony+Ivory was tasked with launching the BAIC Beijing to South Africa in 2022. This Chinese brand is committed to delivering high quality vehicles with a key focus on merging technology, safety, style, comfort and sustainability.

THE RESULT

+ Initiated the launch of first dealer conference with 12 dealers and potential dealers within 3 weeks.
+ Rebuilt and established presence on multiple social + digital platforms for BAIC.
+ Activated a 4×4 experience with the B40 Plus with AWCA women.
+ Curated customer experience with the B40 Plus and Preview of the B80 @FOM2022.
+ Launched the BEIJING x55 into the SA Market through media test drives, a media launch and an above the line campaign.
+ Supported with client the activities leading up to being named 2023 CAR OF THE YEAR (compact SUV).
+ Delivered innovation through content creation and messaging across channels.
+ Delivered an excellent dealer conference in PE – the home of BAIC with over 40 Dealerships.
+ Participated in the @FOM2023 with 3 activation spaces reaching over 1 million test rides during the event.
+ BAIC was a car sponsor for BRICS Summit 2023
+ Achieved over 3 Million Views of the Beijing TV advert
+ Generated demand that exceeded the number of vehicles available in SA and created a waiting list for the next six months
